I don’t agree with John A. Powell when the author writes that the unconscious mind is the seat of today’s bias- or inequality.
However, this is full of MANY good points and ideas that NEED to be executed. It’s crucial we have a scientific basis for our desicions; can be sad, I bet, finally looking at the suffering of your neighbors and country with a working heart and mind connected to the sight.
Capitalism is indeed an economic development and way with elements and principles which emphasize growth and cultivation. Our challenge today is discovering, distilling and discussing capitalism’s best practices so we don’t pass toxic ideas down to our children or down the river.
This is a democracy, and for a reason. Collectively, our power and ingenuity multiply. Our ideas, our products and our environs are made better by other people.
So we have to decide for our own self what it was that made America great, and what would make this place, this America, the greatest place on Earth. We need the input – from everybody.
This isn’t a conversation we could have had as a democracy 50 or 150 years ago. The infrastructure was not there. This creaky system, looking like it’s going to fall on our heads, has brought us to a place where it is actually possible, through automation and innovation, to free our whole society from meaningless work… and move on to far more meaningful arenas for us as people, among happier, brighter, more driven and more at peace wom*n and young people and circles.
